Meet Nicole O'Connell-Gonzalez, Founder

Nicole lives in Northern New Jersey, just 10 miles outside New York City. She has experience working with toddlers to teens for over 20 years. She has been an educator since 2006, serving as  an elementary school teacher and administrator.  Currently, she works for an educational non-profit that provides coaching and professional development to New York City public schools.

Nicole is passionate about nurturing the whole child through Social Emotional Learning and advocating for the empowerment of family engagement in their child’s education and development. She embeds mindfulness practices and lessons daily into classrooms and school programing. She created an after-school yoga and mindfulness program called Kindfulness Kids aimed for students in grades K-5.   Nicole provides a variety of workshops to parents, families, and educators. 

Nicole earned degrees in Family & Child Studies, Literacy Education, and Educational Leadership. She is trained in Mindful Schools Curriculum and is a certified Little Flower Children’s Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher. Currently, she is completing her Social Emotional and Character Education certification through Rutgers University and is part of the Montclair State University Clinical Faculty Program.
